    Anyone ever seen this before?

I have several 32” NIB loops and 1/2 of them had drive links where every other looks uncut. Will this run ok around my rims? One loop was ran and reground, so guy I bought it from at least tried, but he made no mention of the condition.

1/2 were normal with each driver notched.

Thanks for that! I was picturing those rounded drivers making the chain ride high in the rim.

To satisfy your concerns, take a rim and drop them in it.

Definitely, when I get home I will. Slow day at the office, so I brought all my stuff in to resize here.

My guess is less to machine.

Did Oregon say it was a boo-boo? It looks really weird. If 99.9999% of DLs out there need a quarter moon shaved out, why don't these?

Guy on ope said it happened a long time ago and Oregon bought back chains from dealers. Referred to it as rudder chain.

I have no idea why it would be done. I asked if it was a manufacturing defect and didn’t get an answer. They just simply said they’d replace it.
Looks like it would be fine. I’ll probably resize the used loop I have and make 16”s to see what it’s like.

Huh? That's really odd, never seen it before. Looks like it would run fine though. I wonder if those links would carry oil though?

And today these were in my mailbox. Customer service does not get any better. For this reason, I’ll be using Oregon chain exclusively from now on.

Did you get to keep odd link ones? Do you plan to use them? I agree that is great service.

They did not ask for the weird ones back. I spun a loop up @ 16” and will see how it goes next time I get the chance to cut.
