I’m looking at 80f later this week if that helps any. Dogwoods, tulips and paw paws should be in bloom this week. Amelanchier and Cherries have already faded. Redbuds have been popping for a couple weeks.
Usually end up turkey hunting in the snow at least once a year and that’s still a couple weeks away, so I’m not too surprised!
Spring sure came early here for a nice change. All the snow is gone except in the deep woods. No flooding this year either anywhere.
We're in the cycle of some really ideal days and than colder and damp/ rainy. Stink bugs and dandelions starting to show up.
Dont know where you're located but it's stopped here in Southern New England. I have seen blizzards here in April though. One in April 1997 stands out in my memory.
Choking on oak and pine pollen today. Got a nice sunscreen, saw chip and pollen paste on the back of my neck.
Snowing here as I type. Still in the 30's so far, just hope the roads aren't icy in the morning. My lilac has some leaf nubs on it Oh, and we had the highest temp of the year so far yesterday, mid 60's!
I got daffodils and crocus blooming, garlic and chives are growing, peas and spinach in the ground, and the honeysuckle shrubs are starting to leaf out. It's about a week early. What's best is that the ground is dry and there's almost no mud anywhere.
Found this buried in the processing area today. But winter is a memory and soon it’ll be to hot to do anything wood related
Not too close to Jersistan, but I came across the same thing last weekend cleaning the wood yard. A little 2020/21 glacier under the saw dust. thought it pretty cool, pardon the pun.
Just when I thought I was out....... they pull me back in! Temps doing the 60 to 40 swing daily for another 2 weeks looks like I’ll be lighting one up every morning for now.
