This last storm dropped snow over 24 hours and just ended. We only had about 6" of snow from it. Two mornings in a row doing the early plowing and sanding thing for work, plus my regular day. Waiting for apple bread to finish in the oven with more coffee. It seems like the sun has not been out for days on end. Next weekend will be tapping trees. Really looking forward to that.
Forgot to mention that we stopped at Menards the other day. (Yeah schlot , we got some laundry detergent!) I looked for those compressed sawdust bricks that stores sell and they had completely sold out of them! Must have been the cold snap!
I found my two missing chains yesterday for my dolkita. I misplaced them after picking them up from my guy that sharpens them. They went right into my bucket boss for wood cutting. So nice to have 2 more chains at the ready. One of them is my stumping and "don't care as much about it" chain, which was the trilink chain that was on the dolkita when I bought it. The other one's an Oregon chain, not certain what kind. I thought I only bought woodland pro chains. Must've had a sale on them I found somewhere.
Went a Craigslist run this morning... saw it last night... got there around 8:30 this morning... some one must have hit the stash last night... but still got a nice load... got there this morning. About 5 minutes later another guy pulls up. We both got the last bit of it. We had to wait till the 880 showed up to finish the pickups off.... well worth it... some more silver maple to add to the stash..
Of course cleaning Poppie's wood stove is more fun than playing video games. This summer I'll show how much fun the lawn mower is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My wife is sitting across from me eating taco bell right now. The smell is enough to drive me insane.
Heading there tomorrow for some plywood. This time I will not be getting laundry detergent....only because I bought 2 there last week.
