Looks identical to the one I just bought. A good friend was moving and sold it to me for $450. Excellent add on wood furnace! I love it so far.

edit: tag should have been on the back stating serial and date of manufacture etc. Also looks like they may have hit it with "fresh" paint.

I was thinking the same. There should be a tag on it.

Could be. Haven’t seen the unit yet and wanted a little education before I do.

Should have been on the upper right corner of the back. England's has been great getting me parts fast, and they are still available. The fire brick are a special size, but I just bought TSC ones and cut them down easily with the proper wheel on an angle grinder.

    Possible stove swap

I’ll admit I’m not very good with it either. Not enough patience so runs are a given :)

Diamond blades sure have come a long way. Even as a mason I have t tried cutting a firebrick with a saw since the days of Carborundum. And that was a waste of time.
I talked to the guy last night. It hasn’t got a ton of use as it was in his Vermont vacation property. So occasional weekends. We shall see this afternoon hopefully.

I mentioned that overall it looks good but it needs a window gasket. He said he thinks it’s fine :) should be easy enough to replace if that’s the only issue.
I see the smoke flap above the door isn’t warped which gives me hope the inside isn’t a warped mess.

Ohh, another question. Technically would this be illegal to install due to epa regs?

Well...yes and no...originally the law read that way, but in the end what I believe went into effect says that they can no longer make more, and dealers can no longer sell/distribute them, even if they still have NOS. This would apply to any non "2020 certified" unit.
In this case the only people you need to keep happy are you and the Mrs, and any local authorities that might claim you owe them "license/inspection fees" for the privilege.
Oh, and your insurance company...which they may want some sort of pro inspection and may even require "professional installation"...but many just want to know about it, and may require a pic or two, or maybe someone (your agent?) to come out and see it.
Getting someone to do an install on something that they didn't sell, especially now that it's pre-owned, can be a real trick sometimes.

I have the same furnace...birds have came down the chimney when I let the fire go out. I get home from work and get ready for a restart and have found them. Apparently they get worked up being stuck and start picking at the gasket- jerks! I go outside and pull the plug out of the bottom of the "tee" and let them go to do it again another time. It is a great working furnace.
