Just regular old fashioned auctions with a live auctioneer and a crowd of people raising their hand. They’re fun and mostly cheap entertainment.
Wrenched on a few today- Went through an 034super that’s been used a ton. Cleaned up the air filter and dialed it back in to 13000 after. Had an 029 in that stopped in wood. Piston was great so onto spark... plug connector (old aftermarket) was shot (cracked) and the spring connector didn’t stick to the plug. Unfortunately this series requires some tear down to replace. All is good now.
it looks like someone was messing with someone! The reason it wouldn’t go through top dead center is the saw was sabotaged! Son lifted the cylinder and this is what we saw. someone had stuck a piece of gum through the spark plug hole!
A guy i know wouldn't pick up his 455 rancher i had it for three year's So i pulled the plug and at bdc I filled it with grease from a grease gun. I put it in the back of his truck Recently He hasn't called yet.
Have this really nice Stihl 020AVP on the bench, except it has no spark. Looking at putting in an ignition module. Would be my first.
I just gave one to a guy in Texas for his kids to learn on Still a lot of those saws around there. Good atv trail cleaning saws.
Tried the 94 272 with a hyway 272 popup out on storm damage Just on it's second tank but it's a strong running saw I need to muffler mod it.
A 345 is the first saw I ever bought. That thing has been ultra reliable and has cut more wood than it was probably ever designed to

Got a freebie 125l Husqvarna I ordered a 15.00 rebuild kit off Amazon And shoe stretches for my 13eeee Shoes that don't fit. The kit seems well made And stamped with the Husqvarna logo In several locations.
stihl poking at the 020. Found the right electronic coil. Ditch the trigger and no need for a universal module mounted else where. Having trouble tuning it. Idles fine and transfers nice from idle through low but can’t get power at WOT. I did rebuild the carb as part of the rebuild. So I pulled it a part tonight. Should have cleaned the tank and replaced the fuel filter and line as part of the build. There now.
Yep haha. I clean/flush both the gas and oil tanks on all rebuilds and most saws that I work on. I usually see some junk in both that could’ve caused issues. I never trust a fuel filter and usually replace lines if they’re stiff or mushy.
That crud didn’t help, but I found what the real problem was. neither the aftermarket or the oem carb kit has the right under plate gasket. Below is the OEM gasket. Kit comes with two of these, but neither are right for this WA 1 G carb. Below is the old under plate gasket. Notice the hole at 5 o’clock, calling the needle valve noon Below is the OEM K10 gasket, no hole. Once I noticed that, I built it again, for the 12th time, with the old gasket with the hole. It’s a nice little saw!
I built this 288 6 or 7 years ago it's Been used constantly to maintain 40 acre's of timber. Just in for carb and fuel system work. Compression still great.
Back to the 435 Picked up a parts saw for a little more than the subject saw, so now it’s the subject. Runs and won’t idle. Except for some denting on the seals, everything looks almost new. Piston still has factory hatch marks Muffler modded now. Carb kit and seals ordered. Fuel line and primer test good.
The 439 has been a bust. It has spent most of its time in the shop so far. We are now waiting for a new oiler pump. The two in one file holders that I really like!
I’m late to the party!! August project.. IH 504 September.... 034super full on case split rebuild to 036 Currently.... IH TD6 steering clutches And 266xp case split ground up rebuild.
