Had a good 30 min long thunderstorm here last night. Had a couple real close lightning strikes (had a couple breakers pop during the resulting flickering and surges), lots of house shaking thunder and a ton of rain.

Off to the lake, Hoping we don't melt! :dennis:

Haven't had much chance lately to fish with my boy! He's been experimenting in fly fishing and seems to have that mastered. Might have to see if I still fit in my waders??

This is just a small sample of the good chubs he's caught so far!! Wow!!:jaw::bug:

    Hey there troops.

Working on the snow cat project the other day and had a real bummer happen.

Tapping one of the gear cases together using a Urethane dead blow hammer.

I swatted one of the dowel pins that aligns the case cover with the case....OMG

The dowel went in flush....the pin is hardened and can't be drilled and tapped to pull it out.....

Decided to try an old trick.

I GUESSED at the depth of the pin and drilled a hole behind the pin.
Tapped the hole 1/4-28 and screwed in a small grease zirk.

3 pumps on the grease gun and the pin was back out where it belonged.

A very lucky shot...This pin must be in the case to locate the cover.....this assures that the bearing bores are located properly...

After picking up the ton of rebagged Cubex off CL a couple of weeks ago, I have about 4 tons on hand. Will probably get another ton in the early fall when TSC has, in the past, a pre-order sale and I'll probably get 1 more ton. After that I'll just get pellets as I whittle down my stock.
