I picked up this wood splitter on sale at Princess Auto, for less than $ 300 Cdn on sale it's an amazing performer, I've gone through about a cord of wood so far, some of it was 22" diameter the splitter had no problems at all, very impressed. What I wasn't impressed with I changed, a two hand operation splitter is safety overkill so I'll include the mods I made to convert it to one hand operation, the only other problem with this splitter is also related to the two hand operation idea, with both hands occupied you can't hold the round in place so from the factory the splitter comes with these angled plates to hold the round from falling off the deck, these are fine for awhile until you notice how much they snag the rounds when your pulling them back onto the deck for another split, those are gone now, otherwise this is a great little splitter.

If you have any questions about the mods feel free to ask.

The quality of the pictures and notations was very professional. Made me feel woefully inadequate......

Evening, thanks for the review and the mods for this log splitter. I am here in Canada and was looking at this log splitter. Curious what size logs are you able to split with this log splitter?

I cut all my rounds to 16" long, the biggest I've split was around 22"
