    Muffler bolts! Classic

The 350 is a good saw if you address the common flaws M2theB already pointed out.

Sounds like you should do the carb to me. $10 and 20 minutes should be a runner.

Also 8 pulls on cold start full choke sounds right. To restart hot, pull choke out then out back in to kick on high idle, then yank. The hot restart was less than obvious to me.

I’ve been thinking about doing that with my 345 but it’s been so reliable I don’t want to mess with it, but if it ever blows up or quits it’ll happen

Great saw ! There are a couple of things that you can do to help it as was mentioned above .
Add a 346xp muffler bracket , and either replace the intake with one that uses a metal clamp to secure it , or this ... 6D079FAE-29D2-4FAC-8068-DD23C0970C46.jpeg 76D408A7-A388-4382-A8EB-E8F4665E1ABA.jpeg
This is the 346 bracket .

A little update, I just couldn't make out that tag without taking the handle off. What I did do is check the Idle screw to see where it was and it felt like it was all the way out. So, I turned it in till it stopped and backed it out for about 2 turns. Got it running and see if it would idle, it did. way high so after fiddling with it for a few minutes I got it to a smooth idle for a while. I think some clean gas needs to get through it but it seems to be trying! It'll idle for 30 seconds then die. Start, run repeat. It'll idle up higher and not stall. I'm gonna mess with it. I believe I'm gonna that it to a new chain also. Lowes is down the road but only letting in 50 people at a time.

I agree. You need to run a tank or two through that. Let me know when you're in the area and I'll meet you. You can follow me where you can run it as much as you want.

This saw has suckage written all over it.... I can only offer to do the friendly thing and bring it here where the ratio of Husky to Stihl is tilted in favor of all orange...
    :D
    Nice saw Dave.

Ok gang, got back from Lowes, got a new blade but I need to ask because I know little of the Husky, does this clutch look shot or am I dreaming? I've never seen a clutch with "tracks" through the clutch. I had to file and flip the bar, it had a terrible ridge. I'm assuming he never did it. the old blade went in the trash it was so stretched. After I put the new blade on it felt like it was "binding" real bad so I'm refering back to sentence 1. It was also a "B!tch" to adjust correctly and felt like it was still binding. Thoughts Please...

That'll be on my next adventure! At least I didn't tear up the new chain. I only ran it 30 seconds! It just didn't feel right! o_O

I take the plug out and pull the cord to see the piston coming up and when its where you'd guess past the ports, stuff a string (i use old boot lace) down the hole. That will act as a piston stop when you try to remove the clutch itself. small chisel or screw driver and a few whacks with a hammer.
Should be an indent to put the tip of either on it, where it says off.

Well, I'll start fresh again tomorrow. I'm thinking it's gonna run fine after a few tanks! It seems like it's smoothing out, Gotta get this clutch fixed. This will be a "nice" back up saw for me. It's got plenty of things to cut down the road! Whatya think Mike?

Not wishing bad on you, but thanks for that pic. I look at those drives and wonder when bad is really bad. That pic does it for me!
    That’s an easy fix.
I’d say though the saw has miles on it.
I’d like to see the piston through the exhaust if you don’t have a pressure vac tester.
Still, great saw! Just might need some love.
