My father has a never used, never fired, never had fluid added 125 super pro. It was purchased in 1970’s and ended up sitting in a closet the whole time.

Was looking for anyone interested in purchasing it or anyone who knows someone who would be interested in it. I don’t know much about it, but I’m trying to get him a potential buyer for it. If anyone has interest please contact me!

Edit: sorry y’all. He’s asking $5500, but willing to hear reasonable offers.

Edit: I have quite enjoyed this forum. Y’all are so nice and respectful. I had issues on FB and Ended up deleting my post so I’d like to add something here.

This saw is not mine. The story I have been told is that the man that purchased this saw new was working a job and 12 of theses were purchased. This one was ready to go, but, for reasons I do not know, it ended up forgotten in a closet. I assume (risky I know) that is the explanation as to the no box. It sat there for like 50 years and the son of that man found it when he inherited the house and belongings. He apparently attempted to sell it once before maybe last year.
I am not sure, but either way my father is friends with the son and that is how my father came to own it. What he was told and can see from the appearance of the saw, there has never been anything changed or added to the machine after purchase and it appears to be in NOS unused condition. I only really know what I have been told by my father and while I have no idea what he’s talking about half the time, due to lack of understanding the terminology, I do know that he stands by his word and if he says that’s what it is, then that’s the only explanation I go with.

I have so appreciated the positive energy in here though! Just figured since everyone is so nice that I would give you a better explanation.
Sorry for the long add lol.

Hello! Thank you for moving it. I wasn’t sure what or where to post. I’ve only been asked to look for buyers as of last night so I’m hitting every channel I can find! Posted in the introduction area as well!

I just edited. I thought I put it, but didn’t. He’s asking $5500, but willing to hear reasonable offers.

    $5500.00?

I'm sure you'll get some reasonable offers, but not that! :hair:

Could get a cheap saw mill for that price!

I wouldn't be surprised if you get 5K for an unused, unmolested one to a collector looking for a shelf queen.
For some reason these things are going for big bucks restored and running some places.
    Don't give it away.

No sir! My father has already stated he can’t give it away. (He paid money for it). I figured I’d hit all my outlets I can find and eventually I’ll find the right guy (or gal ‍♀️).

Good luck I have a brand new Homelite 1130G with 42" and I would let it go for 2500.00 but 5500.00 might be a little steep for most collectors JB

Looks great, seen it on 3-4 FB forums last night.Although $5500 is a bit steep & I don't think you can get that much but $3500 to 4000 isn't out of the question for a truly NOS one.Even though their fees (to PayPal also) are getting ridiculous Ebay is still your best bet if you want to reach the biggest number of potential buyers, that can be worldwide if you're willing to ship.

Ignore those so-called ''experts'' on the various FB forums, most of them are a bunch of cheapazz wannabes who think they know everything regarding vintage saws whether value/pricing,building,working on them or restoring them. They think throwing someone an offer of $300-$500 for such an immaculate legendary saw is doing you a favor. Most of them have no business even owning any saw, much less one so powerful.I don't care what they claim -Reading/memorizing various shop manuals, parts lists & watching a few hours of YT videos DOES NOT make you a mechanic with years or decades of actual hands on,in the field experience,NO WAY.

I'm not on there much anymore, tired of all the BS & hassles from certain people who don't listen to actual facts & experience..Its getting worse all the time too.

    /Rant over ;)

Yeah I posted them on there in hopes of getting some exposure, but after being called names and a scammer I just deleted them. My dad isn’t 100% on selling it anyways so I figured we’ll wait for the real guy to come around. They sure are nasty on there. So far this forum has been much more respectful and kinder.

I agree it’s a high price, but it’s not my saw to place a value on. My dad has spent his entire life in the woods and so if he says it I don’t argue. Apparently there was one like it a year or so ago so FB people decided I was that person as well. Oh well. At least it’s being seen. That’s what I was aiming for.
eBay will be a last resort. I like the personal aspect of selling to people rather than a screen. That and I have just been passing numbers off to my father so he can discuss it all with whoever might want it.

Best thing to do is ask them to show you another nos one for sale at any price.

I find it best not to argue with those who know everything. They never like to hear when they are wrong. Lol just let them be. It’s more fun to poke the squealing pig than it is to beat the silent tree.
