Thats the 1. I want to copy yours much heavier built, more suited for my kubota side x side. What is weight rating on your tires?
Nice work so far TurboDiesel! That'll be a high quality trailer being built like it is and it not coming from China! I'd weld "Made in the USA" on it! Looking forward to the finished product!
The Yard Sale! Too many of those to count in my little craftsman trailer. One of the best things I’ve gotten to get wood from out back is get a walking axle trailer. Nice project!
Awesome Tim!! Nice project you have going and thanks for sharing it with us. Wish I had the skill and knowledge to do a build like this. The swivel tongue is a great idea. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I can get some better measurements and pics if needed. I'll need to look closer at the tires for weight ratings tomorrow. (I think) it's the same as Country Manufacturing uses on their 2500# wagon
what kind of money do you have in the build ? going with thin plate for floor and sides ? i plan on doing a box wedge splitter this summer and im guessing ill have about 3000 in it with the way metal prices are
350ish + 320 in 4 sets wheels/tires, spindles. Ball coupler 16 Lock collars and hinge pins 17 So...About 700 so far. ...but Haven't figured metal for the tub yet.
Sides, yes Floor, maybe.... I'm considering x heavy duty expanded metal to let the chaff fall through.
Better go beefier than whatever your planning. My experience with expanded steel is it eventually deforms. Either that or make it easily replaced. Super cool build Tim!
Please don't take my earlier post as a negative. The couple of builds I have posted on line have always created many discussions and ideas. Some I thought wonderful, some bizarre, some I used. Just giving ideas to keep you thinking ahead. Looks like a great trailer and something I have always looked at in the Northern catalog.
