Is that the one where the chairs are chain sawed out of logs? If so, then yes i have seen it. He should be in the log furniture and/or dog obedience business!
I know dogs can fetch, but the fact youve trained them to make nice holzhausens is absolutely amazing! Can you train my cat to do that!
I had trained my cat to fetch years back, kinda by accident. One of my indoor cats used to like to hang out in the computer room with me. I would crumble a piece of paper, toss it across the room. She would chase after it. One time she brought it back to me, much to my shock and amazement. I then trained her after that. Threw it all the way down the hall, she would run and bring it back. Even down the stairs, she'd zip down and bring it back. I wouldnt believe it if i hadnt experience it myself!
One of the Hounds had a vet appt in the middle of the day, so I took the whole day off, got some more hauzen work in. Well Seasoned might notice a few rain drops on the hood of the tractor Got most of the second row done and the roof started. The inspectors came by to take a look this afternoon.
Anyone have any suggestions in building one of these, I plan on starting construction this weekend, a lil nervous
Nice work Dave! Love the tractor load and hauzen'n with the hounds! Not really seeing many rain spots on the hood, but maybe it's because either it hardly rained or my screen is small Keep the pics coming!
Keep the splits slanted toward the center or at least level. Stacking on a radius, especially on a smaller radius, the inside edge gets high and the stack starts to lean outward and you lose stability quickly. You end up using shims placed on the outer edge to get the stack back level or tilted inward. I laid some small sapling pieces on the ground with a smaller diameter piece on the inner ring and a larger piece on the outer ring to establish the inward lean at the ground. This problem gets lesser the bigger the radius. You end up always laying the fat end of a split toward the outer edge, to help maintain the inner lean.
Just about finished up today, a few more splits to add to the roof yet, ended up 16 feet in diameter, three rings of splits, the sides are 5.5 feet high. This wood will likely be for winter of 23/24.
