I checked hyd fluid level, sitting 2/3 up the hash marks.

Now it's cooled down and sounds normal again.

    Think it was too hot??

I checked coolant level, it's low, but not empty, although overflow jug is empty.

Engine oil is right near top, but does need changed.

Transmission was in turtle mode, 4wd engaged.

Only high and low on the transmission.

See no evidence of any leaks, broken, or disconnected lines.

Ok, it sounded to me like when a remote line is undone (hydraulic bypassing). I only have experience with the gear transmission, so no help there. Heavy pulling might get yours too hot ?? Just speculation.

I’ve been thinking of moving my stove’s ir thermometer out to the shop for the summer for stuff like this. I don’t know what temp is normal, but heavy PTO work gets it hot (haven’t ever had what I thought was too hot, but again, don’t know where that line is).

That was something else I considered, my shorts did catch on the PTO selector lever, but PTO engagement lever was still in the up/disengaged position.

I'll get some water and antifreeze to top off the coolant system, the manual calls for soft water, ours is hard as heck here.

Aside from stopping by the 'bota dealer, anyone know what antifreeze comes standard?

    Manual didn't specify anything particular.

Chaz I get that squeal or whatever if the 3pt is at Max height. Something on my machine doesn't like it, so I bump it down a hair and all is well.

Power steering, heat, a/c , cruise control, tilt wheel, arm rests, radio, front and rear wipers. Yesterday Kerry Farwood was mowing with the zero turn in the hot sun. I kept waving to her from the a/c cooled cab. :rofl: :rofl: :D

I’ve been trying to keep the Kubota nice and the hours low but when it’s 90 and humid it’s hard staying out of that cab!

    Thx cnice_37 that's reassuring.

I'm sure the boxblade was all the way up, so I'll keep that in mind if I hear that again.

    Hoping I won't.

Nice work Lyle! A driveway as long as yours, I'm sure you had plenty of washouts with that torrential rain. That slip & slide was probably a raging torrent!

Well, all of yesterday's work was for naught.
    o_O

Start on blocks this morning, got to #4 and had to dig way too deep to level things.

    IMG_20190707_115947418.jpg

The 4x4 is touching ground above block #4

Chazsbetterhalf says she never saw me check lengthwise for level, but I'm reasonably certain that I did.

Of course, I was placing the level on the truest 4x4 that I purchased, and may have been hitting hi/low spots, I don't know.

So, I hammer in some T-posts and run a string level, have 6" of grade from high to low.
    :faint:

So, I work in it properly today, and have things level on each end, with slight hi/low spots in the middle.

Ground is 15.5" at both ends, high spot is 14.5" below, and low spot is 16.5" below.

    IMG_20190707_164346014.jpg

Blocks are 3.5" deep, and I'll be adding gravel, so I think that's gonna work.

Will check sides one day this week, and see where the hi/low spots are there as well.

Guess we can see why I don't do this for a living.

I'd be broke, homeless, starving, and without a beer budget.
    :bug:
    :coldone::pete:

Only one squeal from the tractor, and I lowered the 3pt, did seem to help.
    Thx cnice_37

Nice work! Seeing what your doing is making me twitch since I feel like I did that just weeks ago, wait I did! What are you building there?
