And it not the simplest fuel line to replace. I figured those horns on the tank side were a place to anchor a string around to pull it into the tank. It works

 

Again, the only difference I could see between the 7A and the 12 was the fuel nipple.
The only part I had to transfer from the old carb to the new was the kill switch harness

 

I warmed it up pretty good and it seems like it ok. It runs great actually. But I won’t declare victory until I’ve run it in the woods.

Saw ran mint.
Not a hint of bog or stutter.

I did empty the tank. I thought that was a little quick. But I didn’t top it off after the test cuts either so I went out without a full tank.
