    Love the theme!

The outside air is going to be more efficient. If you burn warm inside air, it needs to be replaced with cold outside air. If you burn outside air, your well sealed house will have less air turnover.

I will also add to the flue damper suggestion. I added one after the first year with the IS and it only cost about $10 and only took about 20 minutes to install. Most of the time was because I had to cut a pipe to make room. If you have adjustable pipe, you could install one in a couple minutes.

The flue damper has made a huge difference in my ability to stuff the stove to the gills and yet still keep the initial peak tamed and the full burn extended and more even.

Beautiful stove and install. If I were to do it again I would get a IS, such craftsmanship. But I do love my plain Jane Recency F2400

No one right now, we futureproofed our home, we have a ramp into the house from garage too, all ada doors in home, and we have three closets that are framed for an internal elevator from basement to second floor. All with seperate removeable floor joists that are framed for removal. Ramps made moving in a breeze.

Nice area a little tougher and even more rocky than here!

That is a beautiful setup Wade. Love the planning on the whole project! Glad to have you aboard as well. I predict that your heat pump gets very little use in the future. Great stove & plenty of seasoned wood, what's not to love!

Excellent foresight in the planning stages.

Hope no-one ever needs the ramps, nor the elevator, but you definitely went long term with your plans.

    Great thinking.
