I'll second what ivanhoe said. Welcome to FHC and pics are a must of the install! If you have any questions about the furnace, do not hesitate to ask!

I also added you to the "list" of owners and serial numbers on the 1st page.

Dex, I see you connected your cold air plenum to the furnace
It does help on the movement of cold air around the house. I was getting smoke around my DTM vent near the furnace outlet when it was igniting so I removed the heat shield to further inspect it. I found the evidence of soot at the seal which was caulked with High Temp Silicone which was probably pulled down at least a 1/4 inch when I did the assembling when first installed. So I clean it up and resilicone it. Let dry then I adjusted the extendable vent to the furnace outlet for a perfect fit. Glad I nosed around the assembled vent and corrected the problem.

Just noticed your cold air plenum isn't completed to the cold air return :picard:
My insurance broker brought it to my attention on propane furnace cannot be fitted with a solid burning add-on, it's a big no-no!
Maybe if they are further apart it might be allowed or different insurance companies, different rules:whistle:

What seems to be the problem?
Explain your set-up and will see what we can do for you

The leaking vent fix did the job, no more smoke :smoke:
Made to silicone gaskets, a round one for the exhaust fan and a square one for the otherside of the exhaust fan for impeller cleaning. Haven't install yet just waiting for a replacement time

Our insurance agent comes out every two years. She has seen and watched them all operate.

Not sure why with Propane it is a no?

Jerry Welch - How many square footage are you heating? Where is the furnace located? How is it sent through your house?

What is the exhaust path? What pellet vent size?

As ivanhoe said, pics help tremendously!

I added you to the list on the 1st page. Do you have the required dampers in place? On the Fahrenheit and your gas furnace?

And pics always help with questions.
