Now if you only had a siphon/or pump made from pallets...I would have geeked out on that! :D

I use a siphon to pump my pool cover off all winter except I cheat with a sump pump to prime it. A 1.5" old pool vacuum hose will move a lot of water.

I measured the drop from the water lever to ground level and it's only about 4'. So I'm hoping there's enough pressure, we'll see.

4' drop is about 1.73 PSI, so it will flow, but that's about it...probably not going to work a sprinkler, or even a spray nozzle very well at all

Would it increase the pressure if your siphon was a larger pipe than the hose you attach at the bottom end? You would have the weight of the water in the pipe trying to force its way out the narrow exit of the hose.

We'll give it a try. Dont want to run a chit ton of hose from the house, was hoping for ease. Well see in a bit here. Heading to Lowes hoping they have everything I need.

I'm thinking maybe. Planning on larger pvc pipe transitioning to garden hose

I think soaker hoses work better as you are not spraying all that water into the air to evaporate.

Water pressure doesn't change with the diameter of the water column, only the height. I know it seems like it would, but surprisingly not...

Would the elevation start at the water mark, 3ft down in the well or at the top of the concrete?

Not sure if bringing up water 3ft first hinders pressure at all?? If I count the top of the concrete, then I have 7feet of gravity pressure?

yes, height affects head pressure not diameter. IMO for 200 bucks you would have a self-contained irrigation system, use soaker hose or drip irrigation lines.
