According to the diagram anyways red, brown and yellow. I’ve never seen that before. It’s always been two wires....

Aha! Ok so it’s just like a 4 way then. :salute: Good grief the diagram for a seven way shows red as stop lights, yellow as turn.

So yellow is stop and turn correct?

Looking at the three wires hanging from your light
    First picture after wiring questions
Brown to brown / red to red and yellow to white on left side and green to white on right side.
    Should be correct

The only thing a designated "stoplight" wire would be used for is the 3rd brake light like on all new cars today on top of the trunk

Are both lights identical? The wires coming from each one are identical colors?

Yes, but that original diagram is also showing a completely separate brake light in its own housing, which I don’t think is the case with Pete’s trailer. I think that particular wiring diagram may be the issue, and is causing the confusion.

Yes same colors. After testing it’s white ground no question there

Red is stop so that must be yellow from the trailer.
Brown is tail lights ( running )

I think the diagram is not correct. Talk about annoying...

I suppose those particular lights could each have their own separate turn and stop light bulbs.

Thats where I would go next. Brown to brown, red to corresponding turn signal, white to ground

Don't know. Never used those particular lamps. If white is definitely ground, then no, since there's no extra wire for it.

Shouldn’t. Just took a pic of mine. Looks like very similar light to yours. These are LED. It’s a four pin, but that really shouldn’t matter as far as the lights go in terms of wiring. Sorry for the pic quality. It’s dark out.
So you can see the style of light. IMG_6060.JPG

I’ll try to wire it all up tomorrow night I’m beat.

Thanks everybody! Pretty sure that diagram is the problem:whistle:

Yup! But mine is only about half the size as yours. It’s a 4x6, but it’s rated for 1,500lbs, plus the previous owner reinforced the axle and suspension. I haven’t been able to overload it yet.

Thanks Larry I watched a few of those but didn’t get the answer I was looking for. Apparently the link I got for a diagram is the issue. Shoulda just wired it like a 4 way.:picard: I can do that blindfolded. Changed enough lights on the old light hangers.
