Actually hygiene is my thing... I had a very NASTY team driver years ago I literally left him in Pheonix after they told me I was stuck with him... It didnt go over will and I didnt give a chit. I told them exactly what I did and didn't care. Needless to say he found a new partner and I never saw him again. He was natorius for hitting a ramp and doing his thing in a can or bottle and NEVER showering. :loco:

If you can afford a soda you can afford a bar of soap. The other stuff was frankly disgusting and I do not ever do that.... If I have learned one thing over the years its Professional drivers are pigs.. Drivers are there to feed their families and are the real professionals.

Sorry I am a service technician now and backup driver but that topic still eerks me. :headbang: :whistle:

The moral to Pete's story is that if there's a mtn dew bottle in his truck, it's actually mtn dew.:salute::thumbs:

If you like welding outside due to fumes.

I would suggest taking precautions when grinding or using those abrasive discs too.
Abrasive disc are pretty much made out of everything the state of comiefornia considers to cause cancer.

A metal blade always is my choice over an abrasive wheel.
It will cut AR steel along with stainless.(hint) an abrasive won't cut stainless.

We use angle grinders with abrasive at work for stainless all the time however the big chop saws cut at a much slower rate and don’t don’t cut stainless well at all. I wear a mask under my helmet for mig welding and grinding it’s much nicer to breath. Actually I just spring for a face shield recently and what a different that makes!

Yeah it will...I do it all the time. It does cut slower than regular steel, and wears the wheel a little more...but it cuts just fine

I get lucky...we use 6" wheels at work...when they are down to 3.5 - 4", its time for replacement...I collect them to take home...I can get more use outta them on my 4" Dewalt...:yes:they are about 2" in diameter when I'm done :D

That's pretty much how the ramp/ tailgate on my 4x8 trailer works. Easy to remove the tailgate if you been to as well.

I’m going to cut end caps and add grease zerks for the hinges even though it’s not really needed I really think I’ll regret not doing it later:whistle: I bought 4 ft of round stock and pipe so it will be strong too.

Another thing you might consider. Instead of pulling each wire separately, twist them together with a drill- easier to pull, and nicer looking

Doing ok for an old man. Bought some seeds to get started. not planning on too much this year. Wasted a lot of what we grew last year. Son and his wife spent most of their time with their 'herb' gardening.
You seem to be going strong. Still have so many irons in the fire. I really have to be selective on what I do. So easy to start stuff and then leave it undone or half azz done. I waste too much time doing that. No where near as much energy as I used to have.

3/4, #9 flat expanded would work if you haven't found something yet. Or #3, #4, or #4.27 walkway grate. But it gets heavy if your ramp is big.

dammit I think I screwed up:headbang: I meant to buy 1*2 11 gauge for the ramp gate instead I bought 1*1 11 guage and cant take it back.:picard: That was reallllllly stupid. I’ve got 68’ of it now. I have a couple long sections of 2*2 angle I can weld on the outside runners and I can double stack the center support that way
