Should be simple just hard to explain. Setting up a new sheet for 2018 based off the sheet I used for 2017. Just have some formulas that are right but just dont carry down to the next row. My first row that has a formula in M2 and N2 work, but when I enter my data into row 3 M3 and N3 don't have the formulas in them. Just need them to advance down as I insert another row. Click on the cells with the formulas (M2 and N2), left click on the small black square in the bottom right corner while you drag down as far as you need. Hope this helps. or highlight the cells, right click, copy. Highlight the cells you want to pasta to, right click again and paste formula.
Thanks I will give it a try tomorrow when I get off the road. I have a line at the bottom that gives me totals for the different columns. That right now is at row 4 I think. I normally just insert a row and enter my data.So drag the formulas down to that or all the way down the sheet to however many rows I think I will use for the year (Probably 7-8 hundred). Thanks Gary
It's been several years since I've used it, a version came out at some point with a "paste special" opposed to the normal paste, I think there was a "formula only" choice. No doubt I probably had to go in an manually change the cell range, but it did what I needed. I wonder if Woodwidow uses it at work and knows?
Copy and paste the cells you have now to where you want the formulas.... or highlight and drag as described above.
If I understand the issue, everyone is correct...If you have a cell with the equation that you want, when you copy and paste that cell all the properties will come with it. If this doesn't work, pm me on Monday and I will help get you back on track.
Pivot tables are beyond me. I have a co-worker who is a whiz at them and whenever she sends me an Excel spreadsheet with them in it, I always muck it up.
