Going bigger. 52mm bore. 79.8cc. I may make a sleeve for the jug im using and leave it 50mm just to get rid of the ring of death. Allow a little bit more playing with transfer timing. I have a scored up jug that would be the perfect candidate. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Thought about that, but I have no casting experience or stuffs. But I have made lots of chips. So billet seems like the way to go. The blocks were 30$ and 15$ for a sleeve. Just lots of hours whittling to get em right. Other than the outside fin area, I don't have a jug to make a simple mold from for casting. Likely have as many hours making a mold as whittling a block. So your plan is to machine everything from a solid block ? Anything’s possible but man that’s gonna take a looooooooooooooong time sir !

No power feed / digital read outs unless I use the big mill. But a 4" cube would look kind of odd on a 48×72 floor mill. Lathe does have power feed but that's it. Just old school lots of time and measuring. Realistically, leave the bore under size .080-.100". Leave an extension and some witness marks to reference in other set ups. finish the outside profile. then turn the base on a mandrel. Just like a std jug. The bore and base will be perpendicular. Then bore the jug to 52mm setup on case to lay out all the ports. Hog out the ports 70% Set the jug up like cutting squish. Bore then hone to size. Make the sleeve .003-5 press fit. Home I'd to final size then finish all the ports through the liner. Sounds good typed out anyway lol Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Less of a press fit, and just use a couple pins? That could be an option. I'm planning on keeping it a blind cylinder. At the base the liner will likely be clamped when the jug is bolted to the case. Keep it from sliding. Shouldn't want to rotate. I hope so. Billet jug will allow me to to dial in port shapes and sizes. Something echo typically leaves very conservative in the stock jugs. Gonna be ALOT of whittling to make that stick sharp ! Just as a side note ... why not get it plated ... I have contacts with someone who would do it and it’s not as expensive as you think ... let me know when u get there if you are even interested going that route ... the pressed sleeve shud work just fine if you don’t wanna nikasil it !
Lot of whittling indeed. Nothing against plating, just the prices I have heard. Range between 180-210$ for a blind cylinder. melling makes a cast iron liner .94 wall 2" bore for 36$ long enough to make 2 sleeves. 18$ per attempt is pretty cheap. And. 047" from bore size. Not a lot of whittling time to make it fit. What price range is your source for a blind cylinder? Not gonna do a 2 piece head on this jug. Have the material to make whatever chamber I want.
