I am going to order some loops of Oregon from Madsens. Way cheaper to practice on that than the Stihl.
When I get the vise from homelite I hope it makes a difference in my consistency. I believe trying to convert to square while on the bar, at work trying not to get caught goofing off. May be leading to lack of good concentration and consistency. It’s tough trying to tuck away a chainsaw, files and gloves while pretending that didn’t just happen.
I had to shim this one up with a 3/8 nut on all 3 bolts. Otherwise, I was hitting the straps when I rolled the tooth down to the wheel. TM says to barely clear the raker when you swing the arm in
pictures of the wheel angles the ones on mine are making the bottom of top plate a knifes edge probably 1/8 inch of grind on bottom of tooth i need to make the wheel more blunt to get a work chain angle
evening jason hows you i think its too sharp of a angle and too much into the straps ill play with it more i want durable chains and also faster chains without changing the wheels and dressers all the time
