It won't underline them with rich text editor on. And whether your phone auto corrects or not, you really need to slow down, proof read, then post. If there is a mistake? Then edit.

If a NEWB came in and seen that this was tolerated in every thread? They may just keep on walking.

Not to dismiss your posts. But they are very hard to read. I am mobile over 80% and type a lot for almost every post. Slow down.... Pay attention to what your typing. It reflects the forum in general.

That phone is completely capable of auto correct. But the fact of the matter, is it shouldn't need it.

Sorry for the derail. Now back to regular scheduled programming.

Yea but samsung and apple had a huge lawsuit deal like a yr ago about copyright infringement. Sounds like auto correct was something apple claimed as a proprietary feature ?

I just heard about the suit in the news. I'm not a tech junkie so I dont follow nor care.

Also I know that its not apple - hence the folks on the ANDROID forum talking about their devices running jelly bean.
    Ok back to quakes.

Ok I got my Rex Max gz4000 regular muffler to replace the one on my 3814. I took it and cut the front out and then drilled out the baffle. This is a hack job as I did not have much time. I will clean it up latter.

Seems a bit more responsive. Maybe revs a bit higher yet still and is louder.

The pictures are of the 2 mufflers. Then inside the factory one , you can barely see the catalyst housing in there. Then a picture right through from front to back of my modded one. Exhaust goes in then up IMG_20140207_112114_187.jpg IMG_20140207_112152_149.jpg IMG_20140207_112212_358.jpg IMG_20140207_112235_828.jpg IMG_20140207_112202_736.jpg and out now. I'm going to grind the inner lips back more and clean it up but its good for now. And a pic of the tiny hole I put in tha new muffler that I will have to patch. Wheremy drill bit hit the back and pierced it a bit. And a shot of the piston just cause I was there. No scratches or any wear on it. I have a tank or so of fuel through it. At this point.

here is my 3814 with the Red Max gz4000/ryobi non cat muffler. I did a mufflermmid and drilled the barrel out and opened up the front outlet 3x the factory size. I have not cut the deck sector out much as it was already pretty large .

He is a video of it cutting. Compared to my stock video it looks like its 33% faster in the cut. Time went from about 36 seconds to 24 seconds with just this mod.

Wow wish I had a pressure tester! AC and I gutted the muffler welded it back together and added about 100% opening to the front and that saw cuts! I'm in the process of doing the other one now. If I open the port how much is reasonable to remove from the port or is simply sanding the port a better idea?

These are open port cylinders, so on the bottom where the base gasket sits (I wouldn't put one back on), will get very thin if you remove to much material.

Can still take some off, and I opened up the tight angled channel in that port (increase overall size. Once you open it up, you'll understand what I mean about the angled part). . Then a decent bit of sanding to smooth it up a little, but that area can still be a little rough.

The intake should be rougher than the exhaust. The theory here is, the fuel and air hit the rougher surface and causes more turbulence for a better mixing of the two. While the exhaust should be smoother than a Frogs a¤¤, to facilitate the extinguishing of gases.

The intake and exhaust ports can just be widened (again, a little). Unless you want to get into port timing and have a degree wheel and know how to read one? Then you can raise and lower them. If you don't want to mess with a degree wheel, then you can just delete the base gasket, and the exhaust port can be raised a little bit. About the same amount or thickness of the gasket you removed.

Once you open, widen, or do any type of grinding on a port or transfer, make sure there is still a beveled edge along that port. Otherwise you can snag a ring.

This info has come from several people who have worked on an engine or two. Both of whom are pretty good guys here. I didn't want to touch anything on mine without knowing what I was doing and why I was doing it. I've been wrenching for years, but never thought to remove any material.
