    The tail on the 241 is a pulpwood cutters trick from when pulpwood was sold at 4' . It measures 4' from the tip on the bar to the end of the tip .
    It makes it fast and easy to cut up a bunch of 8' without the use of a tape .

    Early-mid 70's vintage red air filter cover arrived recently.

    Matches perfectly,has the expected paint loss of course but now its original again. DSC02260.JPG DSC02261.JPG DSC02262.JPG Gonna leave it as is.

    Yep you see a saw like that and you think about where it's been, who used it and what and how much he cut down with it.

    See a new or restored one you just don't have those same thoughts run through your head...at least I dont.
