This one hit 750 (IR gun), with the air closed completely. The secondaries were really cooking!

That is the highest temperature I have seen on this stove yet, I didn't want it that high for the overnight burn, but it worked out OK. My mistake was that it was too much of a coal bed to start, and it just took off.

Englander doesn't specify a maximum temperature for this stove, just that it shouldn't be glowing. Well, it wasn't glowing! The STT guage indicated "too hot" and the flue gauge was about 750 as well.

Concrete in front of stove in basement.
Probably 85 degrees down here but I've got a little sinus congestion and sore throat, so I'm sweating it out.
Be down to my speedo soon!

Same here. We're at 11* right now and it will drop more.

8 pieces of ash and a cherry on top!
    Making some serious heat!

We have been hitting negatives the last few nights, lowest was 16 below. Loving the heat, it is easy to maintain 70, which is my target. Can go significanly higher if so desired. :dex:

My stove doesn't look like it is packed to the top because the rear tube is lower level than the front ones

Yes, I installed one. It is pretty helpful in getting the full picture as to what is going on.

Y'all making me jealous of your heat wave.

It never got above 5° here today. It started at -3, warmed up to 5, then was 2 at 5pm, and 0° now.
