It will get cooler down the hallway where the bedrooms are and I also use a small fan to help move the heat to those areas .

Yeah, I use the same amount!

I guess my point is I am unsure if the cb1200 is actually too small. It doesn't sound like to me that it maxed out. Maybe close at the absolute coldest nights. But I think you are gonna see similar results with a bigger stove. Unless you don't mind it warmer downstairs and don't mind 4bags a day plus.

Also I forgot to mention on those days I need to keep the office door next to the stove closed with a small wall heater on low in that room which is 25X 20 . During the day when my son is working that door is open and then closed at night .

forgot to mention too that I always use room temp/auto with the Harman so on very sunny days my stove may shut off for few hrs at a time..

It's not that bad and takes a week or so to build up to where I think I "have" to do it. But I know they (SBI) ran around 3+ tons through these units in testing and never opened the doors. Member Fyrebug and I did a lot of talking on the Eurostar before I took ownership of this stove from them.

All told I think I ran 5 bags through the Enerzone this year. Last year maybe a half ton? Now that I have been using the On/Off function of the furnace (first 3 years I only ran it below freezing). I honestly haven't ran the Enerzone since the beginning of November. Last year was the 1st season I used On/off and that was because my BIL ( chbryson ) used it all the time (was his only source of heat).

Just switched it back to fuelmizer today before I left for work with it being warm and rainy. Also haven't cleaned it in about 3 weeks, just dump the ash pan and pull the scraper for the heat tubes and add pellets.

I did a quick clean a month ago (just the pot) and a deep clean 2 days ago before the cold set in.. They really do run well without any maintenance. I've gone about 2 months in the past without doing anything other than emptying the ash pan.
His furnace is pretty much the same as mine (newer pot, LED control board, updated combustion blower and impeller, sail switch, etc). Plus I did the burn pot mods as well as some other things he did.
Being my Brother in law. I tend to help him out :) My whole family (wife and kids/kids slept in the living room and we stayed in the guest bedroom) spent 2014 Thanksgiving at his house so that I could help him install the updates and get it to where it needed to be.

Here is the bigger impeller (Huge help/11 HUGE blades). The one on the far left that's really small is the stock one for Fahrenheit (13 blade but small blades). The middle one is a Quadrafire impeller (11 blades and a good improvement but smaller than the Don2222 upgrade) that I installed before the larger one on the right. This final impeller has done a world of wonder for my burn.

The only thing that he has I wish I had? Is the extended hopper. In shoulder months? I can go 2-3 days without even looking at it. On cold days (today) I came home and it was running out of pellets (flame was almost out). Where he can still go 2 days.

His furnace.. And a huge hopper

My furnace.. and a small hopper (117 lbs which is still big by most standards)

do you know if your efficiency took much of a hit putting that offspec impeller on? Possibly the original was undersized, I have no data on that, but have to assume it was engineered and tested with that impeller. Putting an impeller on with larger fins, at the same RPM, would move more air, possibly putting more heat out of the pipe rather than onto the heat exchanger.

I broke down and cleaned the stove Saturday morning. I woke up to a 59 degree house as I forgot to load pellets for a few days. About 10 mins and I was back up and running all cleaned up and reassembled. About an hour and change later right back to 70 deg. I think I forced around 5 bags give or take in the hopper and we are good to go.
