Now a fire device should never be vented into the prevailing wind direction. Causes, yup bad burns and/or vacuum (wind related) shut downs.

Setup is the very first thing that must be correct or everything else will be for naught. Luckily he has what is normally a solid unit.

Yes, just disconnect from the stove for the time being. The guys here are trying to help you determine where the problem might lie. If flame shortens and gets bright & lively after removal, you've found your problem.

If not, there may be a blockage or air leak in the stove. How many bags through the stove before the problem started, or problem started right from the beginning? (don't remember from the other thread)

Have you removed the liner from the rear of the stove and seen how much ash has built up and/or cleaned the entire liner?

Kevin, try to keep all the posts about your stove in the same thread. Multiple threads about the same thing gets confusing. Maybe mods can put them all together? jtakeman

Ok. I just disconnected about 15 minutes ago. I'm feeling air still through the OAK pipe. Is that the stove trying to still get outside air even though I disconnected it? Should I plug the end of the oak pipe even though it's still disconnected? It's still sitting real close to the stove. Sorry if I don't know what I'm talking about.

The only reason to plug the OAK pipe up the chimney would just to keep the cold air from coming back in the house. The stove is ALWAYS trying to get air.
    So, since disconnecting, any change?

That's the purpose of being on this forum. Lots of friendly and very knowledgeable pellet burners here.

There is a backdraft valve on the air intake that valve must be free to open, they have been known to stick somewhat closed which leads to yup, bad burn. Nap time for bear.

The flame looks livelier. Now I'm seeing sparks flying like my p43. I'm liking it.
