    Some stoves are much more sensitive to small vacuum leaks like this one. It may be due to where the vacuum port is located and the size of the door gasket. Harman in many of their stoves has the vacuum port on the nice cool & clean air intake which also helps to make the vacuum switch stay clean and last much longer!
    Englander has the port angled inside the exhaust housing so the dirty air does not blow directly into the vacuum hose and their hose has a much thicker wall than any other vacuum hose.

    My Quad Nova 800 had the vacuum port in the feed/drop tube. Used to plug with saw dust every so often. Always though it was odd they put it there, But was real simple to clean and get at. No need to remove panels, Just open the top. No tools required.

    Yes My Quad Contour has it there also and after 3 years I have had no problems with it. The Quad heats my small 10x10 shed nicely but since I built the new 12x20 workshop and put a Harman Advance in it, I use the Advance a lot more. The Advance is nice looking but gets very dirty!
    Anyway just got a Temporaty TV in the workshop!
    Not easy since Rabbit ears do not work here so I had to run coax cable and buy the new cable stripper and compression tools because the new compresssion fittings do not leak RF like the old squeeze on to conform to the new FCC regulations!!!
