jtakeman did some research for me last year? Or the year prior?

I'm gonna do a quick search and see what I can find. It's in one of the Fahrenheit threads.

If you make a couple, I'm sure you could sell them! I know I'd be interested in one for sure! I love my furnace and forsee me owning and burning many, many more tons through it.

Here is the almost complete pot as well as the modified pusher & door. Pot is 1/4" stainless, pusher & door frames were re-used but pot facing surfaces were replaced with 1/4" stainless. Still need to mate pot to frame and some modifications to the frame will need to be done as the new pot is wider. Re-light plate will need to be made and igniter will probably need to be shortened a bit. Going to re-think pot to frame mounting...want to add thin rope gaskets to improve seal.

Big project, but hoping these last the lifetime of the furnace. They are now truly HEAVY DUTY replacement parts!!!!

Read others may have interest in these...first let me de-bug mine, then I'll consider (very labor intensive - would need to build jigs & such)

I'd be very interested but having the older style it will have to wait. I also redid my re-light plate of 1/4" stainless. Then I had to lower the burnpot by a 1/16" . When the time comes I will redo the top portion of the burnpot in stainless. The corn clinker crusher is also made of steel so that will be done to along the HEX redirecting plates. You're doing excellent work which will become a asset for you & others:yes: I'm tinkering on the idea of using compress air along with the leaf blower to do the monthly cleaning. Thinking of adding a port near the exhaust fan blade to clean it without disassembling it. I wonder if the newer exhaust manifold will fit my older unit:whistle:

Take a pic of you exhaust manifold...I'd be curious if it's any different. I didn't perform that mod yet, but looks pretty straight forward and well within my fab range. Mine's running much better with Don's exhaust fan/motor upgrade & new sail switch...hoping an improved pot will add to the efficiency as well...

Hey Ivan I would be interested in seeing a demo pic or a video of the leaf blower cleaning trick.

Mine had a standard 4 bolt exhaust manifold, and the intermediate exhaust manifold bolted onto mine. So I'm sure the newest version with the clean out should bolt right up.

I could send an email out to Matt Fitts at Fahrenheit to find out because I am very interested in one as well. Pulling the combustion blower every other year is cumbersome

At first I wanted to put a removable 1/2" threaded cap so I could use compress air to blow the fins on the impeller while the LB is running. Might as well go the whole nine yards and have a removable plate which could be made on the old style manifold. Going with the new manifold it would have a even bigger access plate. I also noticed the exhaust motor is angled slightly on the new manifold. Finding out if it works would be very helpful.

That and the main channel is bigger (like mine) so it definitely helps improve the burn quality !

Probably won't install it this year as I'm already burning. But I'll buy it before the end of this season.

It will come when time to do a deep clean.
Tinkering on ideas to fabricate a LB support to wall system. Also a clearview shield for the compress air gizmo for the firebox area. Trying to make a easy/fast cleaning tool during the heating season:D

I did the reverse pin on the actuators like 343amc suggested. The trial run went well and after the first burn it worked the first time but seems like it stopped. I do not hear the cleaning sound anymore so it must have come undone. Might have to use longer pins or go back to the upside-down with a cotter pin. Will investigate when it stops by itself or when I do a cleaning.

Mine had the left also (I seem to remember that pic ;) ). You lose the 4th stud (upper right) with the one on the right.

I doubt they would change the mounting as the holes, studs, and gaskets are the same for the left and right. Fahrenheit probably engineered around what they already had. The only huge thing that was changed was the bottom 2 holes. the latest furnace has a single larger hole. But the body and everything else has stayed the same

Seems to be working, it's was so silent that I couldn't tell if it was:yes: Heard it while on the throne, go figure:rofl: ( I must of had complete silence:dex:)
Did check the ash pan and there was sign of dumpings:zip:
Another problem arised from the ashes:eek:, my rubber gasket on my 10" fantech damper came undone:loco:  It was hanging over the distribution air temperature control on/off sensor:doh:
I'll have to take apart my duct work to fix it:picard:Time consuming for ditto:hair:
