Hey SB, you didn't count in your calculations the mental and spiritual well being if a fire. Can't put a price tag on that. :woodsign::coldfire::axe::campfire::MM:

Got up on the roof and added the top section (3 ft) and the snow divider, and resealed around it as I got a little dripping in the heavy rains of a few days ago.
I also sealed the vertical seams of the chimney (per the Duraplus instructions, which I ignored  the first time aroound). I think the seam was the point of water entry.

The new chimney looks good on the new roof, if I say so myself, and I just did.

Yes I did, they attached to the top of the 2nd section. If I were installing them now, I would have anchored them a little higher on the roof to give it a flatter angle, but it's not worth making more holes in the roof to move them.

That's for sure, that looks fine though.
I was wondering because it didn't look like you needed it before you added that piece

    It was likely overkill before.

Looking at the photo, I am wondering it I got the chimney vertical? I didn't put the level on it, so it may be off, but it looks OK, except on the photo. (It's hard to tell with all the angles.) I got a little rushed at the end, needed to get a couple of other things done. I'll go up there with the level tomorrow and tweak it if needed.

Will do on the 30-NC install thread.

Judging from the pics of the secondaries posted in another thread, I'd be willing to bet he didn't need the extra length.

    Job looks good!

I had to seal my seams as well. Slight drip until I did that. Took care of it. Selkirk chimney.
