Whoa, back up the truck! :)
:Yar:   Is the antenna you installed an OTA (over-the-air) TV antenna? This is something I know a little bit about....besides the fact that your stack is too short. ;) I have a double bow-tie antenna (actually an outdoor antenna) in the bedroom, mounted on a 6' PVC pipe attached to a pedestal fan base. Since it is inside the house, I don't have to worry about grounding for lightning protection. I have a pre-amp installed to compensate for running the signal through a splitter (I have a TV tuner card in my computer.) If you are feeding only one TV, and the coax run (RG6) is under 100', you don't need a pre-amp...in fact, it might be counter-productive. With this setup, I can regularly get solid reception of stations that are up to 60 mi. away (I do have a good location, but the far-away transmitters are not line-of-sight to my antenna.) I've included a link that will show what stations may be available to you. You can also have it draw in the lines to the transmitters, show a terrain map so you can pinpoint antenna position, etc. There are only a couple of stations where I may need to move the antenna. The majority come in without adjusting it, thanks to the gain and the 90* beamwidth of this particular antenna. And some stations come in through the back of the reflector screen. The second pic is of a small indoor Terk log-periodic antenna (similar to the "fish-bone" antennas that used to be on everyone's roof.) It works well but only has a 30* beamwidth, so it's more directional and may need more adjustment if your stations aren't all in one direction. Note that it has rabbit-ears in case you have weaker VHF stations that you want to get. The two VHF stations I need come in fine with the double bow-tie antenna. This un-amped version is no longer available, only the amped version. :(

Yes, my friend gave it to me; he ordered a new one for his house.

Here is a photo of what mine looks like; this is from the internet and not my actual antenna but the exact same antenna.

41 pages, i got $20 that it hits 50 by Friday. Did i mention that if you have anything other than a BK stove, its not a real stove. Also you MUST, I repeat MUST, stack your spits with the bark facing up.

ya know it gives you an error each time you post like that?
tells you that you have to wait so many seconds before posting?...
and it adds three more seconds with each post?
me either ... but I do now:rofl:
