    I hear you..I heard it was a pain..and I believe it. That's why I bought new bearings and seals. But I tell ya...it took some effort just to get the seals onto the new bearings lol !!

    oooh! You have a fancy piston ring compressor! I almost bought one, but ended up just using a zip tie...worked surprisingly well! I orientated the crank to bottom dead center and found that I did not need a piston support. Almost got goop on stuff I did not want it on trying to hold onto everything at the same time and coax the jug down onto the piston though.

    Anybody have a clear answer for this dilema ?? Are you suppose to but sealer in the bearing seal grooves ? For me..this was a pretty tight fit....and didn't seem to be any sealant in those areas on the old parts.... IMG_20160126_131335862.jpg

    You dont have nothing to loose if you put a little sealer there , and dont forget METAL clamp to the intake

    So I just tore it back apart...and resealed everything....I should have just done it the first time. What a pain lol !

    i recently did two 345's and i did put a very thin coat on both top and bottom seal surfaces, whether thats right or wrong i guess ill find out haha.

    the one thing that got me on the first 345 i did was the little brass grounding clip that goes into a slot BEFORE you put the clamshell bolt on that corner.... thankfully i realized it before i got too much farther :picard:
