Cylinder looks good. The piston by the time you clean it up smooth will be trash more than likely.

Thank you fur your input....lol...that's what I did to get this saw goin...I took a different jug, different piston, different rings and put them in this saw and jb wielded the dog bolts and dogs to the saw...I run it like this fur about 7 months...made me a lot of money. I am tearin it down because I want to replace the clutch side of the crank with a good used one so I don't have to have the dogs jb wielded in. Do it while waitin fur parts....I thought I would try portin the cylinder and run it on this saw...until I get the other crank case side...if it blows becouse I did somethin wrong, no worries, it was a spare...hopefully I will learn what I did wrong and correct it....lol...thank you fur the help....have a good day...

You want everything smooth transitions. No edges or shelves to disrupt flow.

Soak the piston in seafoam or carb cleaner to get the carbon off the top.

I'm no saw Porter, but you want there to be no steps or edges in those ports. You're getting there though if you compare to mdavlee's cylinder he showed a few posts back.

A little play side to side is generally alright but any play of the rod up and down on the crank and the bering is shot.
