Ohh hahaha yeah I was skimming through. I didn't realize how long that thread was. At least I took a lot of pics. Made me realize although it was work, I had fun doing the install.

Awesome! Thanks. This is great. I'm guessing I won't find what I need at Home Depot, but I'll give it a look tomorrow.

LOL Yeah this thread is growing bigger than I thought it'd get to be. Should talk to one of the moderators about putting all the good info from all the 50F threads into one MEGA 50F thread lol.

That would be a LOT of work!!

We should start a 50F info thread and I can make it a Sticky. Then we can all post our installs, our mods, and the trials and tribulations. It would be easier if numerous people tackled it.

Seeing how we have 8 Fahrenheit Endurance 50F users and we prob get a lot of search hits.

I did a search online and Home Depot was cheapest but of coarse had to order. I got the elbows and takeoffs from there. The 10" round duct Lowes was cheapest and I used the thicker gauge. Ordered that too and free shipping.
Then I found a local hvac store and I was able to get the rectangle duct from. I asked and they had all the 10" stuff in stock! I missed that one lol and I think they were cheaper than Home Depot.

Did another test on my "dirty" furnace. This was on a pot change (level 5). Not sure how long into it, but I snapped the photo regardless

Sure. That's a good idea. If you want to start it and make it a sticky I shall add to it. I can even repost some of my posts from this thread showing the hopper leak area and the upgraded parts I added.

HA, you have the same luck as I do. That's how everything goes for me. I.E. I drove a long way to get the 50F I bought and it was a older unit in rough shape, this fall one popped up on Kijiji about an hour from my house and wasn't much more than what I paid for mine and was newer!

Wow, still not seeing that kind of heat even on level 5. But, that being said, once I get it ducted I can retest and it will be a better comparison to your setup.

What is the second thermocouple reading?

I noticed the temps rising to 130 when the Autoclean has kicked on so meaning Level 5 will raise the temps to around that area of heat. Using Oakies for reference. Will try the Lacrete's when next cleaning comes around. Suppose to get cold again Sunday night and through Monday to Tuesday morning.

Cool. Thanks for the update. I'm running mine on 2 right now. Not super cold here though. Will bump it to 3 when it dips tomorrow night. Thought level 2 might be fine as I am running it solid and just letting it heat soak the basement.

I need to try and get the outside air hooked up along with the heating duct connections. Might be too late for this year though. I think if I get the outside air installed I'll see better heating performance as cold air won't be getting drawn into the house. I want to OAK my Harman too. BAH, too much to do an never enough time.

Today was a write, ended up helping the g/f's family with something then had to help my brother. And I may have slept in longer than I should have LOL.

Hmmm, so in an earlier post I mentioned how I thought my Chimney was drawing better, but wasn't sure. Well I think I can confirm now as I had what appeared to be too much air flow through my stove and one heat setting 2 my flame was really getting low, so over the course of the last two hours I've turned the damper screw on the air intake out almost two full turns! That should help hold more heat in the stove!

OK so got bored tonight and started a new thread. If it works let me know, if not feel free to remove it.

I'll start posting some of the bigger things I did to my stove over there as I get time.

I'll sticky it in a minute..

As for my other thermocouple, it reads the air temp coming out of the heat exchangers. It's inside that scoop, about 1" from the tubes (centered over the exchanger pull rod). It generally reads around 190°-200°.

I can merge 343amc cleaning and teardown sticky into the one you just started BAN83 ?

There is a lot of good info that thread as well. I also updated the users in that thread. We went from 6 Fahrenheit 50F users to 9 in a hurry!
