Opinion on Forest king 30 Ton Log Splitter.

As long as you have a biz license and okay your taxes no one should care ;-)

As long as you don't give any of your hard earned investment return to uncle sam, I am good. You have provided a great service to some Craigslist shoppers who would have likely gotten a lesser deal. Good on you!

I have an 16ft dovetail carhauler that I just redecked this summer.

Mine has a dovetail, can kinda see it.
I had a 16' before it, bought it new and sold it 3 weeks later.

 

My wood on my trailer lasted 6 years. Three rot spots!!! Yes it was treated.

I bought one of the 30 tonners on Black Friday. I'm not happy with the LCT engine on the unit so I am swapping a Honda GX200 onto it. Thread here: Forest King 30 ton splitter engine swap project- Cheap Chinese to Honda GX200

Other than the engine, very please with this unit so far, especially for the price! I will update the swap thread as the project moves along.

 

But with the engine swap is it still a good deal?

 

Indeed it was. Maybe not for some other folks, but with shop access and a free engine it's still a smoking deal for me. I kindof knew that at some point I'd be 86ing the LCT engine when I bought the Forest King. I had a decent GX270 that would've been perfect for it, but bartered it away.
