You would only miss out on the area that's covered by the rubber while the window is closed. And over time, I'm sure a certain amount of the Rain-X will deposit on the rubber where it contacts the glass.

Hell, I'd do both! It just dawned on me that I have never had this problem on any of my vehicles but I have seen it on others of the same make/model. I use Rain-X on all of my vehicles religiously. Even use their washer fluid. I hate driving in the rain in a vehicle that doesn't have it.

It would only deposit on the rubber wiper that goes down the glass ...the middle part of the window.

What I don't like about Rain-X is when I use the wipers it looks like a smear to me.. Worse when dark and lights hit the windshield..

I'll do both. I have rainx its not the old style but the newer spray bottle type. I need to get silicone.

MM you put rainx on your side windows? Normally?

Yes, all glass, even the mirrors. (Exterior!)

If it's buffed off correctly it shouldn't do that. Wax on, wax off. I apply, wipe, let it dry thoroughly (it should "haze" the window and feel like a grease coat) and then buff it off with a large clean towel. Once you get an eye for it, you will know when it's time to switch to a clean area of the towel. Should not leave long rainbow streaks when you go over it with the dry towel. I usually buff the majority of it off with one rag/towel and then go back with a perfectly clean one to finish.

I've never had the washer fluid leave streaks like that either. Just a real easy way to keep the main area of the windshield beading off nicely.

So, turns out there were two motors for the 034 Super. Didn't have a carb kit for either anyway. Guess I will try another dealer.

I would of just ordered it off ebay. Dealers dont stock much of anything I have found. Saves time and fuel.

Well, if I would have just ordered it off ebay I would have had a 50/50 chance of being wrong so I'm glad I didn't.

Look at the carb number on the carb. You can't be wrong. Stihl does not make carbs. They source them from companys like tillson and walbro. It will have a walbro number most likely and you look for a kit for say walbro kt-69 just to make up one. Thats what I tried to tell you last week.

OK, I missed that part. Thought I could say the chainsaw model and they would know, didn't realize there would be multiple possible motors.

Thats fine. It could of been there was more than one carb. There was an 034 and a 034 super right. Those were different size p/c.

Normally you can buy a kit by just model but getting the carb id is best. You also need to do it one random saws that are not as easy to source parts for...like an earthquake chainsaw. It actually has a walbro carb on those too.

Yeah, there is a 034 and a 034 super, but the super itself has mulitple possible motors. I made sure to confirm that bit of info.

Think I will have to give my Poulan 3400 Countervibe some run time until I can get the 034 all patched up. Got some more locust to cut and the ms250 doesn't do so well with it.
