Not a problem ,I told you I liked your style The reply button works great ,but it quotes the whole post if you only want to quote a certain section then use the high light method.
It's not really bottom feed versus top feed, but designs of the auger. The Quads with that cork screw type auger are sensitive to them. My West Point can burn a bag full of sawdust without issue.
True. The quad has a spring type auger. A screw and cylinder type auger (even with a flight) will pull fines. My endurance has a flight, but pulls them. The Quad needed cleaned every so often because it won't pull fines (not 100%).
Well after cleaning out the hopper and the vacuum hose and now screening my pellets went down stairs to find the call light on but stove not running . I hit the reset button and started right up . It's a new stove totally clean with top of the line pellets .Also hopper being low made cause this is that a fact jack ?
Thats what I have been seeing around here. 259 for FSU at HD, Greene Team at Lowes for 279 or Lacrete for 294 mean Lacrete are in the house Maybe the 239 prices will be around in a month or so when they are getting the summer stuff out again
Dude, you wont find a friendlier bunch of misfits that know their chit about all things wood and are willing to help any newcomer while having a good time. Dont take offense to the wisecracks that flow freely at times-its all in fun
Didn't see any but did notice I could see embers through a space in the ash door . Getting ready to tighten up all the latch screws.
You might want to start a separate thread about this and get everyone's input....in the meantime (sorry if this was answered by someone already) but is the ceramic thermocouple adjusted correctly and is the thermocouple wire pushed all the way into the ceramic housing?
Checking all that now. A couple of pellets in the burn pot and this is the ash draw.Thermocouple wire was 1/2 inch out of the cover.
Hmmm....I'm thinking the stove isn't seeing the proof of fire after the initial drop of pellets into the pot.
Ok everything cleaned , tighten and Thermocouple wire pushed back in . I'm pretty confident that should do it . It's Sam Adams time.
I remember when Sam was the new kid on the block in Boston. Does that make me old, or a wise and informed historian?
