Not a bad pellet, But $322 is a bit steep imho. Good heat, Some batches can be a bit dirty though. You should be able to find comparable pellet for around $269 ish or less. Take a look at TSC as they sometimes have Liggies in the TSC bags. And priced at the box store rate(269). Usually Home Depot and Lowes will carry Pres-To-Logs and that's also the same pellet as the Liggies. See this thread's 1st post to find what in the TSC bags. http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/for...on-whats-in-those-tsc-red-bags-upc-info.5940/
If your options are Ligs at $322 or GS at Lowes and TSC then just keep looking. Neither of those are appealing options. Ligs are fantastic, but holy crap $322? That's the highest I ever heard of!
Yeah, Thats usually what I see too. Kind of crappy, But for the $$ they burn. I'd at least score some for the shoulders if they are cheap.
jtakeman , I was researching another brand of pellets in my area and came across a previous thread from you on on the internet. Ligs are made in Colorado? Confluence Energy?
PM me the link, I don't recall it(or I was indulged in my favorite beverage!!). Lignetics has 3 mills AFAIK. Sandpoint, Idaho; Glenville, West Virginia; and Kenbridge, Virginia. And 4 different pellets Green label hardwoods, Blue label blend and Orange label softwoods. They also market Pres-to-logs in box stores. In both blend and softwoods. The softwoods rock!! Confluence Energy has 2 mills Kremmling, CO and Walden, CO. Which produce Eco Flame, Platinum Fire and Rocky Mountian. SPF softwoods. FYI, Bear Mountain and Lignetics have merged. There's a thread here and this link has most of the details. http://biomassmagazine.com/articles/11585/lignetics-bear-mountain-forest-products-announce-merger
I apologize, no indulging here but I did manage to confuse Platinum Fire and White Flame. Should I delete my post before I confuse more people than just me, and you?
