I think I'm done with summer. Yup. I am. Ready to stop mowing, gardening, and all that. I want to hunt deer and make some firewood.

So what you are saying is that each season should be only eight weeks long. that would give us six seasons in a year.

I was in my truck taking a pic out the window. If I had been walking the dogs and found it...???

I've only ever heard a few rattlesnake stories in 47 years.
this year the wife has seen 2. her dad his hit 2. I have seen my first ever. and heard of many sightings.

The owner of my wifes company had one in his landscape at the front door of his house during a big outdoor party. kids were telling there parents there was a snake. then one brought a picture back on a cell fone.:bug:

A guy died near Benezett Pa after a bite about 2 weeks ago. (very remote area)
First bite death in 25 years in Pa
    good grief!!!:hair:

and then there was the snake on my bike. non-poisonous but...that could have been a disaster

Spring should be March 1 - July 1. Summer should be July 1 - July 31. Fall should be August 1 - Dec 23. Winter should be Dec 24 - Feb 28/29. Stupid equinoxes.

The dew point dropped about 18 degrees today. Feels bearable again outside.

Going to a free fish fry tonight, can't beat that.

Woodwidow, that's what we got here in North East:D time frames change with mother nature... you know Autumn, winter, spring, summer (also known as July) add mud season or sugaring march to April. and Artic usually January February. This occurs yearly up heah., outside Temps of 0 to 40 below. Windshield washer fluid freezes at 25 below.. spittle freezes before it hits the ground. it's sounds gross but watching my great Dane mix pee before he passed and it froze and clicks on ground and him trying to figure out what was making noise was hilarious. .. did not get video because camera batteries do not work at that temperature either.

I got bit by a rattlesnake once. After 6 days of excruciating pain the snake finally died.

Well, this year it has been phenomenal. Temps around 70 to 75 F and mostly sunshine. Usually the temps are 67 to 72 F with lots of fog in the morning especially Aug and a sharp cold westerly wind in the afternoon. Rain probably 2 days out of 6. Laughingly we say that we have two seasons - lots of rain in the winter and less rain in the summer.

Down for a 4th time as the cheering section. She really needed some relief. Kept saying she didn't remember it being this exhausting. I reminded her that she might have had a bit more steam when she was in her 20s and 30s... ;) No matter... I know once she's had some wine and slept for 2-3 days... she'll be all fired up to go again... :D Grammy's rock... !
