I have chilli cooking in the crock pot, should be done soon, and that will be tomorrow nights dinner!
Had venison loin steaks and roasted taters and Brussels sprouts....all cooked in cast iron...for dinner.
Just dropped a load of wings in the big easy - this is the 4th run of wings in it - man they are crunchy and delish....I have slight modification coming(smoke ability) will start a new thread when I get the materials
That would be great if you could figure out a way to make crispy smoked poultry. I am looking forward to your update.
Our Sunday meal was roasted lamb with mint jelly, sweet potato and brussel sprouts. Here it is just out of the oven. Ready to carve! On the plate.
Not sure where I will cook them, but the old lady picked up some pigeons at Aldi's. I guess they are really called Cornish game hens.
Killing time before I see the Fam tomorrow. I thought I would try to use my crock pot to smoke food. http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/08/you-can-use-your-crockpot-as-smoker.html The inside temps were higher than I thought. Between 150-200. I smoked eggplant and garlic. I was a little disappointed by the hickory taste. Not a good choice.
Nothjng fancy here. ...we did a 21lb turkey for our annual Christmas Eve dinner today. Wonderful having a big family GTG during the holidays!
Looks fancy to me....lol Glad you were able to have a big family get together! The last two weeks around here would make the movie Christmas Vacation look like a cake walk
