20150319_173914.jpg 20150319_173914.jpg Got her back together again. Not sure what was going down but it's all idling correct now. I ran about half a tank of gas threw her. I will try and get a vid tomorrow. Just jacked around with the comp tester trying to make it work. First was reading 150. Pulled schader cleaned got 170. Changed schrader and got 200. I now this guage is jacked.

Can't wait to see a video... I've read awesome things about 440/460 hybrids.
Does anyone know if this has been done to a 441/461? I'm guessing the M-tronics wouldn't work right?

The 441 and 461 are totally different. I'm not saying you couldn't pull it off but most of the reason for building a hybrid is getting the power of a 460 in the weight of a 440. The 441/461 weight about the same. Or that's my opinion. Lol

Mine does not run like a 460 ,more like a real strong 440 if that makes sense ,if you have ran both saws a lot you would know what i mean .

Here she is. Wanted to see what it would do. 28" bar buried in oak. 7 rim pin, didn't like the 8 with an ok chain. Still running rich for break in.

Got here all pulled back down. I'm still not happy with it running. Its weak on the top end. Had a very slight air leak on the comp release. Fixed that. now redueing the carb. Just acts like it's not getting enough up top. Used a torch tip cleaner to mod the 66 jet that's in it till I can get some jets ordered. Hopefully I can run it tomorrow.

Make sure the crank seal on the oil pump bushing is not leaking,I have had a couple act like carb problems, I set the bearing on that side with a socket and hammer leak went away saw tuned like it should, May not be the problem but something to look for

20150324_181454.jpg I ended up boring out the jet size with torch tip cleaners until I get a jet in. Thinking I ended up around a 70-72 jet. Played with the pop off pressure a little bit. I will try and make a vid tonight. It's much better in the way it's acting. Also got my new comp guages. I'm happy with this comp. :dex:

Ok boys. Got a couple vids. It's pulling much harder now as you will see. The 28" bar vid you can see me plating with the saw dawg in it, pulling it threw and just letting the saw cut the wood. The 24" bar i have the rakers filled to agressively but once I get it going you will see. Lol. Gonna tear it back down now and make some changes but I think once it's going it's gonna be a 24" bar machine and handle a 28" without a problem. Please give me your thoughts. These arnt the best vids as they are me testing. But i 5 ink you'll get what I'm trying to do. Lol

As for that saw? It sounds great. Runs at a great RPM in the cut.
