Darn well pumps been kicking on and off alot lately. Check the tank and only got about 10 lbs of pressure. One good thing no water spraying out. Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

I had to monkey with mine the other week. The pressure tank became waterlogged. I drained it, then adjusted the pressure up a few psi because I wanted to, and it's been perfect. Do you have a bladder pressure tank, or the old style non bladder tank?

As near as I can tell it's a bladder tank. Sounds "hollow" at the top. Gonna drain it in the morning and pump it back up some.

Hopefully it takes just a drain and a re pressurize treatment. If it has a Schroeder valve on top, its a bladder tank.

Mine was clicking on and off, a lot. The pressure would drop so fast if any faucet was on that I knew it was a problem. I'm glad I fixed it quickly and for zero dollars.

I read a bunch of stuff and watched some videos about it when I had some down time at work. Looks like that's all it should be. That being said with me doing it it will turn into one of those all day things 5 trips to the hardware store and 2 tanks later it will be just right.

Used to have to re pressurize my old non-bladder tank annually. Tank came to retirement age as did the hot water heater, so, I bit the bullit last spring and replaced both. So far so good with the new one. holding pressure nicely, looks like I get to avoid the annual "ritual". Was more annoying than anything.

I hope that is all it is for ya jetjr. One time I had to pull my pump all the way up and out of the well to figure what was wrong. It kept running and running. But nothing was wrong in the boiler room where the tanks and filters are. Turned out the pump had a small hole in the side of the casing(I guess that is what you would call it.). But it was part of the pump. Had to put a new one in. Then I recently had to put another new one in not too long ago. Right about 11 or 12 years apart I guess.

Hope all goes "well" for ya man.:picard:Don't let the pressure get to ya. Pretty soon, it will be water under the bridge. I've been hanging around one of my brothers too long.:emb:

Today will be part 2 of removing the 4' snowdrift from the roof of my shop at work. Warm weather and rain predicted in the coming week could create problems. We will be climbing up the other side of the roof and attack it from the peak down.

Is the roof steep? If not, I would shovel from the peak up. Works most efficiently; you just break off "pieces of cake" and then slid them over the edge. Back and forth all the way up.
On steep roofs, you are restricted to shovel from the peak down. That way, you will stay on the roof and not end up with the snow you're removing!
I have both style roofs to shovel in my life.

We have been shoveling roofs for weeks, each roof is different and we attach each of them differently.
Most of the time it's top down, that way we have a foot hold until the last 4-5 ft. The low man on the totem pole follows us from one side to the other using roof rake and pulling the last 4-5 off from the gutter line. We work on the ice dams last.

I just replaced the pump about 3 months ago so that should be good. The kids had a delay this morning so I'm gonna fish around with it shortly.

You guys hear about the Maine man, about a week ago, who avalanched himself under 3/4 of all of the snow on his roof his was pulling with a roof rake? It buried him under 2' (above him), he landed on his back, found a way to open up enough space to breathe in the concrete like snow pack. He was under there for 4 hours! His wife came home around 5 and heard him yelling. Called the fire dept after she tried to dig him out and realized she couldn't. Went to the hospital but was fine and did an interview the next day. He said he thought "there's no way I'm going out like this"... whew...

Sounds like something I would do. On a good note the tank just needed a little air and I'm back in business. :dex::banana::dancer:

I'm not sure if maybe when the electric was out for 6 days last year or when I replaced the well pump had anything to do with it. Gonna keep an eye on it and hopefully don't have to replace the tank anytime soon.
