That side of the house gets zero snow drift/wind. We had 14" last week and it only had 4-5" on that side of the house.
The clearances are 12" from house, 12" off ground.

Should I go up or just extend? I want to fix this once and done. It's bothering me lol.

Sounds like UP gets majority vote. I have this setup inside. Do I need another T if I go vertical? I would have to calculate the EVL.

Using 4" the EVL doesn't bother me. If you went out 1 more foot, the a 90° and went up at least one more foot would be ideal (24" or better). Then I would just use a vertical termination, rather than another 90° and your horizontal termination.

    Really....another 12" horizontal, then a 90 bend, then a 24" vertical with cap?

Is the addition 12" horizontal necessary?

    I messed that up...

12" out and a nozzle cap "Or" a 90° where it's at now and 24" up.

    Sorry...

T it and add 2-3 feet of vertical. Take a look at T-BONE pic a few posts up on page one.

Thanks guys, I need to find a place to purchase the 4" tee. HD wants $90 just for the Tee. Also need to locate Jet cap. I'll also go up 3ft since 24" looks frowned upon lol.

Also Dex was right, these pellets are different then the FSU I was using first. These GTP needs lots more air. I adjusted the damper, looks like better flame. Lost some flame height but I'll keep a feel for heat loss. I have zero complains about HEAT from GTP. Other than fines, soot, ash lol lol. I think the damper adjustment will fix the outside soot. But if I can get that siliconed cap off, I will add the tee and 36" rise, and bracket.

Yeah from HD it's $200 for Tee and 36" of 4" multi fuel vent. Still need Jetcap which they don't sell

I agree with the extra T, easier clean out. Added vertical will help on the natural draft and raise it off the ground. The jet cone to get it away from the siding. Now we're talking:D

    back to the original question
being it is going thru block I would use hydroment by quickrete. expands as it cures and seals great.

Well I cleaned up the old St Croix a little better… I had a better flame on #3 after I was done BUT it's still not to my liking. So I opened my air damper a little and waited a few minutes. Now I have a better burn but I know this is just a band-aid. My stove is still dirty so I'm going to pull the combustion fan this weekend to clean out the soot and ash.

This was the first time I changed the setting on my damper in the nine years I have had the stove. My dealer sez if you need more air your stove is dirty...

Is that easy to remove if I need to get it out? I never used that before and was thinking about cement patch.

no harder than cement patch. just expands instead of contracting when drying. stays watertight

Any ideas how to remove the end cap that I applied hi temp sealant to?

Since its outside it probably wasn't needed correct?

I have my Tee and 36" vent on order.
Still need support bracket and a cap
