I might have to soak it or something - That's what I tried and it didn't budge at all . . . just started to deform the pin.

Any one have tips for oiler mods on huskys? Specifically the 576 and 395.

Those 2 should oil more than enough for any bar they'll run. A 395 will usually oil a 42" no problem and a 576 a 32".

Turns out my skirt was getting stuck under my boot . . . I just had to line it up and give it a good whack instead of pussyfooting around. Pushed right out with the proper technique!

As I had mentioned earlier in the thread I had just ordered the upgrade parts when Mike kindly showed us how to DIY it. I figured while I had the opportunity I would take a pic of the pump pistons side-by-side to show the difference in angle at the end that he represented with photoshop. Here they are with the HO on the left (sorry it's upside down):

I agree. I wish I had looked at and/or photo'd the difference in the control bolt too...

I tried grinding the stop as Randy suggested, and it did seem to make an improvement on my MS660. I'm sure I'll still need more before I can run that 50" bar, but it got my 28" nice and soupy. I'm going to test it out for the weekend like this.

That will help some. Make you an aux oiler for the milling with the big bar.
