My Mastermind 064 only has one exhaust port and a 7-pin sprocket... Does that mean it's a slow POS? Should I be running an 8-pin with a 28" bar? I cut mostly softwoods, but some hardwoods as well.
7 pin? Single port? Might as well give it to me.. It's not worth anything lol That's a mighty fine saw Clint!!
This 460 was running an 8 pin with a 28" semi skip square ground chain. I'd say you'd be fine with an 8 on it.
Clint, Squarefile would be a good one to ask. He has a MM 064, and IIRC he gained time going back to a 7 pin in over 20" (maybe 24, cant remember) wood.
Id like a black Cannon for it but $$$$$. That GB was only 32 shipped. Thats 18" bar with square filed chain
It looks like the 660 is cutting pretty good. Do you know anyone that has a 660 that you could try to compare to yours?
looks great, Keith!! Wait... Who ported it? Ive got to get my 262xp up and running. And Ive got an appointment for June 17... I just gotta decide what saw to send! Mebbe a 262
Lol! I ported it myself. Cut the squish and deleted the base gasket and raised the exhaust and the transfers a bit and blended lower transfer lips toward bottom of cylinder but left intake where it landed after deleting base gasket. About 178psi on compression so far with very little run time. Compression may rise a tad when rings seat . Bottom end seals still pretty tight.
Keith, I hope you didn't make it faster than my ported 036 or I'll be bringing it back for more dremel work!
