More likely trying to work off the cost of the show.......where did the 8-12 dollar ticket prices go from when I was in high school? These days I think we are funding their retirement portfolios.
Ain't that the truth! I seem to remember $10 being the going rate for concert tickets. And I can't even begin to count the number of shows I attended from the late 70's through the early 90's.
I'm here D, been busy working on the new floor for the Man Cave link for the pics http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/threads/pellet-heads-whats-up-today.2228/page-89 so I haven't really been surfing for tunes
The tickets were a gift from our children in appreciation for all that we do for them and if they wouldn't have bought them prolly would have never went . Seats were side view of stage beginning 2nd level $80 each .
That's awsome that the kids did that for you !! Yeah the side view in Boston are still 204.00 at regular pricing. Its the main reason I didn't get tickets when they first went on sale. This is really out of hand now as these bands are demanding these prices...and getting them. If I recall correctly Fleetwood Mac was one of the first bands to charge 200 for tickets many years ago and that is why I havnt seen them lately. The Eagles were right there with them on the Hell Freezes Over tour-again havnt seen them either. Someone is trying to get over 1600.00 each for 2 front row seats on Ticketmaster's website.
With all the crap thats been going on over here this week Figured i owed these guys a little something.. Terry
I've posted this before but dang, it's such a good Wakin' Up Saturday Morning Song. Makes me dance around the kitchen while making breakfast.
...and while we're doing new bands with a throwback sound, have you heard Temples? These guys made this in their home studio, then put it up on youtube and got signed. They nailed the sound, that's for sure...
They sure did. I actually went looking to see if it was a new band or one from the "British Invasion" that I hadn't heard of.
