Friends called us to see if we could clean up two areas of their yard, after we did some work for her sister. We said we'll give it a shot... First area... Went to work with the Kubota L4802, Landpride RCR1872 brush cutter and Catawba grapple. Mowed what we could, used the grapple to pull up small elm and sweet gum trees. Also dug up this clump of invasive trees. Anyone ever seen these before. They have HUGE leaves and can grow 50'+ tall... Fast growing, soft wood... We worked on clearing it Thursday, got several piles... We had 3 loads on the dump trailer to go to their burn pile... Bonus leaning hickory they wanted taken down in that area...it went home with us...Helene had partly uprooted it Got it cut loose from stump, pulled it down... This area is done... The other area was part of their pond dam, didn't get before pictures, but just could see the top of the rootball on this white oak...the area at the top is what it all looked like.
Looks like Tarzan and Ms. Jane didn't monkey around. Some great wood there! That invasive tree bark looks like tree of heaven, but not the leaves.
Yes sir, the clock was ticking. Had to get some scrap iron out of the weeds/brush too...missed a plow point but mower found it about half was left, it knocked a dent in the side...... Look up Chinese Parasol Tree...
