Did you take her to the hospital? I don't have any experience with Copperhead bites but I know rattlesnake bites are serious. I know a guy who got bit and had to have his foot amputated.

People were busy last night trying to break into my paypal and venmo accounts (paypal owns venmo). At least 4 times for each account I've been sent verification code announcements. verification codes. They actually did somehow reset the Venmo password, but I got that taken care of with nothing bad showing up. Seems they usually wait a day or two . I only got a venmo account last winter for my plowing guy. Now off to check my cc accounts - although no notices from them.

Her foot and ankle is swollen, so it’s painful to put any weight on it.

Yes, 4+ hrs at the ER for some Tordol and measuring. They wanted to keep her overnight to maximize the insurance soaking.

I first went armed for Yellow Jackets. When I returned with a p shooter I couldn’t find it. My ankles were exposed, so I wasn’t going to walk around in the leaves.

Yes, I have previously seen the results of copperhead bites. They checked her blood to make sure she was fighting the venom. Apparently anti venom is only used if antibodies are not detected.

Maybe someday when there is a strong south wind the U.S. should start a back fire at the Canadian border in the area where the fires are. This would eliminate the fuel supply. Just kidding!

I am so sorry you are suffering from wildfire smoke. So many people in many provinces are being evacuated and losing homes. It is happening all over Canada. This is the driest it has been in our area for quite some time so I am hoping that no idiots start a fire here.

We got smoked out yesterday afternoon on. Hazy again today but not as dense thankfully. Sorry for you, it's stinky, my family is using inhalers more, and bummer to be stuck inside. Not sure where the smoke came from, maybe Utah or more likely Colo. ?

    :(

They're pretty sure some of these have been set deliberately. That area has had a lot of fires this year. It's really not far from my work now.

    CHIT!

I've been battling poison ivy again this summer. Don't know why but ever since last summer I have been more easily affected by it. Up until last summer, I've been pretty much bullet proof against any type of affliction like poison ivy. Never had it!

Anyway, yesterday at morning coffee, 99 lbs looks at me and says it's on my neck and face. sure enough-lucky me.

    Useless plant anyway.

I swear that the devil had a hand in making this world.

Here's my guess. God and the devil were best buddies when it was decided to create this world. God, being over everything, gave the devil power to help create but once God saw the terrible things the devil was making, God banished him to h*ll. Maybe that's how some of the terrible things exist? Idk, just an idea I've had.

One more sheet of OSB left then I'm going to go ahead and get the AC unit installed. Getting back into the upper 80's and 90's for the rest of the week and I'd rather not sweat any more than I have to. Garage door gets installed tomorrow.

I officially have AC in the shop, but no overhead door to keep it in. Hopefully tomorrow that will change.
