Man I’m gonna throw it out to the Mrs and see. We haven’t been east without youth group kids so it’d be great to make it and spend a few days in the area. It’s a short 18 hour drive

What's some ideas? Since the date was moved, we don't have to be in a hurry to get home. (If we get to come...)

I'll hafta get back to you...I don't recall the names of a lot of these places. And some of them wouldn't apply so much without little kids.

Yeah for empty nesters it's not quite the same visiting the Zoo/Aquarium. Back in 2012 I stopped at this little hole in the wall hippie place and had an awesome time with the wife: Glass blowing school and gift shop. Sadly they closed shop last summer.
Lots of ideas on here: 422 Cool and Unusual Things to Do in Pennsylvania
When I was in the area last I stopped in New Castle PA and checked out a defunct amusement park which was a good way to kill a couple hours.

So, places close down after you've visited?

Maybe you can get compensation for not visiting, eh?

Went up to the club last Thursday and dropped 10 or so tree's all Rock/Chestnut Oak there's 7 more marked to be dropped but they are gonna be a little tricky to get down because of the lean that will definitely be a 2 man project.
Went up Tuesday and dragged out 6 logs.

It's in the works to possibly get a log truck load of logs, fingers crossed that it will work out.

Frist log being dragged out. We made it back to the clubhouse before the big storm hit, that was a blessing!

I have several loads of poplar/black cherry at a job we are working that we can take back to the club also. Shouldn't be any shortage of wood.

Guess maybe I'll bring one or two myself. I was trying to make the trip with only a fly rod and tent. Hahaha. Can't wait to see you and the boss Walt.

I haven't been up to the club so I'm bit sure if it's still there or not, blacksmith might be able to chime in.

I also have a huge red oak log from a recent removal I'll be bringing up so we can play with some of the big saws.....

I've got several even crazier big saws for you to run this year, Mike!

    That was a great GTG.

Heading out to pick up a couple 8/4 maple boards for another maple and walnut cutting board. Can't wait to drop it on the prize table in June.
