A good price would be free. LOL.. But near me $15 $20 per tote is the cheapest I've found.

I don’t think you can get a face cord in them just tossed in or off of a conveyor I have to put a bit of a crest on the large ones to get a face cord stacked in them, but that is with nasty crap twisted elm that doesn’t stack well no matter what….but that is the main reason I use them…to keep my nasty elm stacks from falling over. Eventually I am going to start building 4-5 cord cages out of them and quit stacking all together.

The 330-gallon tote measures out to be .33 cord stacked tight, level with top.
275-gallon tote measures out to be .30 cord stacked the same way. If tossed in, probably get quarter cord in it,

Is that a typo? 55 gallons larger and it only holds .03 of a cord more?

If my math and internet dimensions are correct.... a 330 holds 60 cuft and 275 holds 53.33 cuft. Hard to believe 55 gallons only equals 6.7 cuft.

    The dimensions i used: 330= 40 x 48 x 54.
    275= 40 x 48 x 48

    Or a 275 holds 51.11 cuft if it's only 46" tall.
    And a 330 holds 58.88 cuft if it's only 53" tall.
If those are correct then 55 gal =7.77cuft

Or 55 gal = 8.9 cuft if 54" and 46" are the correct heights.

1.28 cuft would be 1% of 128 cuft.

    6.7 cuft = 5.23%
    7.77 cuft = 6.07%
    8.9 cuft = 6.9%

Again, if my math is right that should be % of a cord.

Obviously these are all outside dimensions. If T.Jeff Veal is using inside dimensions it'll be different.

So maybe a 3% difference is possible.

Ok but The gallon size comes from plastic tub inside of cage so actually smaller than inside measurement

    275 - 46" tall = 392.32 gal
    48" tall = 398.93 gal

    300 - 53" tall = 440.45 gal
    54" tall = 448.83 gal

There're definitely some discrepancies when it comes to numbers. I worked with the ones i could easily attain. Obviously different if the totes where square in the corners.

I suppose i could work it all out with these new gal numbers but.... I'm going dirt biking for the day. :tip:
