A "good" circ saw blade is $80 minimum. Yes....they are worth it.

Switch on my USG went out years ago. I got it to be always on and just unplug or use switch on the strip pad. Just to lazy to bother getting a new one.

Probably when doing fine carpentry work. I use
a saw for cutting framing, boards with nails, roofing, aluminum sheeting, stuff like that.

Where I work we use Forrest, Frued and Diablo 80 to 120 tooth blades for clean cuts. If we can order one for less than $160 we are doing good. When I did roofing we used $15 Harbor Freight titanium nitrate coated blades. So I suppose it depends on the industry for sure...

Got the new unit from Amazon and it seems to be ok, though Amazon sent me a "parts" machine that I guess had been returned before or something. The box was smashed and had about 200 ft of clear tape holding it together. It got sent that way since it was put in an outer Amazon box which was not damaged.

It was missing most of the packaging to hold the parts secure so it all got banged up. Looks like it may have been used. I was able to make one good one though and I'm sending them back whatever parts were left over.

The degree plates on the back and top seem to match up on this one too. The old one would say 50* on one while the other would read 60*. I forget which was correct now but I had checked with an angle gauge and one of them was right.

Yea they probably sent you a "used" one which usually is something g someone had opened most of the time is all. Others it could be something someone opened used and could not figure out in this items case so they returned it?

O I forgot the switch arrived thursday. Not fast but not slow shipping either... It took about 5 minutes to install the new one and away I went.
